The Agora Foundation is launching a new series – Contemporary Issues – which will tackle current political, social, and economic issues using the seminar method and a mix of classic and contemporary texts. Our first seminars was on The Ethics of Biotechnology (March 2010). Our next seminar in April is on Understanding the Climate Change Debate.  While this new series is a departure from the purely great books format, it will continue The Agora Foundation’s tradition of seeking answers to the fundamental questions of our civilization.  As we introduce Contemporary Issues, we will continue to offer our traditional seminars. Topics in 2010 will also include The Means and Ends of Education, and Science and the Advance of Materialism. We believe this series is the next step in the ongoing Great Conversation the Foundation has been a part of. We welcome your support as we launch this new endeavor and look forward to lively conversations! Please contact The Agora Foundation, or click on Registration at the right. On that page, below the current seminar listings, check "This is solely a contribution to further the work..". All donations are tax deductible. Thank you for your support and confidence. We know we are making a difference.
